Join Gary James (author of Manchester A Football History), Dr Annabel Kiernan (MMU lecturer), Colin Savage (MCFC financial expert), Dave Wallace (former MCFC ‘fan on the board’), and Andy Walsh (FC United), for a debate considering if foreign ownership in Manchester’s football teams has moved the clubs too far away from their historical community roots and aims.

Manchester Histories Festival is a celebration of Greater Manchester’s unique history and heritage, through a ten day programme of events and activities

History runs throughout all of our lives and MHF aims to both celebrate the familiar and reveal the new and hidden histories from across Greater Manchester.

MHF is for people of all ages and historical experience from schoolchildren and college students to family history enthusiasts and museum curators.
